Let me start by saying that I am not a crafty person. In the past, my creative talents have extended to writing about my dogs and taking the occasional picture. My mantra has basically been why make things when you can buy them?
There actually are quite a few good reasons to get into the craft game, though, however small of a scale you chose to do so.
- Crafting something instead of buying it saves money.
- Crafting an item allows you to put a unique stamp on your home.
- Crafting is a fun and satisfying way to be creative.
When deciding where I might want to stretch my own creative skills, I started with the following: We have four dogs, and despite the plethora of sleeping options we provide for our pups, they prefer to lounge on our furniture, and we’d like to protect that furniture from dog hair and paw prints, all while maintaining a stylish home.
